Meet Liz Escobar, the New Paratransit Coordinator for the City of Alameda, and learn about the various transportation options (East Bay Paratransit, AC Transit Clipper Card, Free AC Transit Bus Passes, the AIM Program, and MORE!) available to Alameda residents. Bring your questions! Do you need a Clipper Card or have questions about Clipper Cards? Kim Ridgeway from AC Transit will be present to answer all your Clipper Card questions. This seminar will address why you might not need a laptop or desktop to stay connected to the outside world using the Internet. Today, mobile devices, especially tablets, are capable of doing almost everything that can be accomplished on a computer. Computers are great for creating large documents and presentations. However, if your main tasks are email, texting, managing photos, searching the internet and using social media, a mobile device is very effective for performing these tasks. Our annual Downtown Alameda Hot Cocoa Stroll will be held the same evening, from 5 -7pm, welcoming guests into the Winter Market.

Celebrate the season with sparkle & fun! We are delighted to announce the return of the Winter Market as we welcome local vendors, entertainment, festive sips and delicious bites to Downtown. As daytime turns to dusk, the lights begin to twinkle and the Hot Cocoa Stroll will begin. The Hot Cocoa Stroll & Winter Market will pair nicely with the City of Alameda’s Holiday Celebration that evening.
The event will take place on Central Ave (between Park and Oak), in Parking Lot C and onto Alameda Ave.

- Face-coverings are recommended when inside the building;
- Stay home if showing signs of respiratory illness (cough, sore throat or shortness of breath);
- Wall-mounted hand-sanitizing stations are available in each room;
- Be sure to dress in layers, bring a hat, sunscreen, and anything necessary to provide for your own comfort.
