Food Safety Industrial Council (2 Openings)
•Established: A.R.S §11-251 (general powers) and by direction of the Board of Supervisors as set forth in Resolution 1821
•Membership: Thirteen (13) members, two (2) from each Supervisor District, all of whom represent the food industry, three (3) at large members representing consumer members. Representatives from the University of Arizona Cooperative Extension Service and the Environmental Health Division of the Yavapai County Community Health Services Department serve as ex-officio members.
•Term of Office: One (1) member from each supervisor district, representing the food industry shall serve a two (2) year term and one (1) member from each district, representing the food industry, shall serve a three (3) year term. Members at large representing the consumer members shall serve for three (3) years, staggered terms.
•General Duties: Advises the University of Arizona Cooperative Extension Service and the Environmental Decision of the Yavapai County Community Health Services Department regarding food safety issues in the County.
•Meets: Second Monday of every other month at Environmental Health Office; 1090 Commerce Drive, Prescott Arizona 86305
