UPDATE: Plan for lane restrictions and overnight closure of the westbound I-10 on-ramp to southbound SR 85 March 10-12

This updated advisory adds the lane restrictions scheduled for March 10

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan ahead for lane restrictions and then the full closure of the westbound Interstate 10 on-ramp to southbound State Route 85.

Lane restrictions on Friday, March 10, from 7 a.m to 5 p.m.

  • The westbound Interstate 10 on-ramp to southbound State Route 85 will have a 14-foot vehicle width restriction, as crews prep and clean the bridge deck.
  • The speed limit will be reduced to 25 mph.

Overnight closure:

The 13-hour closure is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 11, and ends at 8 a.m. Sunday, March 12.

Detour:

  • Motorists traveling westbound on I-10 must exit the freeway at Palo Verde Road (Exit 109) and return eastbound on I-10 to gain access to southbound SR 85.

Drivers should plan for heavy traffic, reduced speed limits and delays.
