Department of Health and Social Service is presently combating a cyberattack - AKAIMS Update

Dear Behavioral Health Provider Community,

Alaska’s Automated Information Management System (AKAIMS), along with other Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) portals, remains offline. On May 18, 2021, the State of Alaska, Department of Health and Social Services issued a press release which identified the dhss.alaska.gov website as the target of a Cyberattack. In the interim, the AKAIMS team can provide support through the following methods.

AKAIMS released a GovDelivery message on Friday May 19^th with the paper versions of commonly utilized forms for AKAIMS. These can also be found on the following link.

Clarification on documentation practices in AKAIMS was sent out May 21^st and can be found on the following link.

AKAIMS received requests to make available the AKAIMS Treatment Plans and Encounter Notes entered prior to May 18^th for billing. Agencies can contact Lisa Good at lisa.good@alaska.gov or Sandy Warren at Sandra.warren@alaska.gov. The team has developed a report that pulls all active Treatment Plans and places it into a large .pdf file. In addition, the team can pull the Client Note Report Configurable which creates an excel spreadsheet of the notes entered. If you would like the Notes Configurable report, please include the date range you would like us to pull for you. If your agency needs either of these items, please designate who at the organization should be the point person to receive the files and include their email address. The requested files will be sent via (Direct Secure Messaging) DSM or MoveIT.

 

For agencies that are connected with the COVID Grant, State Opioid Response (SOR) or SORII, while the system is offline, we ask that the Government Performance and Results Act (GPRAs) are still conducted on paper and entered into the system once the application becomes available. If you need a copy of the paper GPRA, please reach out to Lisa or Sandy.
