USDA Reimbursement Rates for July1, 2022 through June 30, 2023
You can find the Alaska Reimbursement rates included with this bulletin and in the CNP Database.
To help alleviate some of those challenges, Section 3 of the Keep Kids Fed Act of 2022 (P.L. 117-158) provides temporary additional funding for each meal and supplement served. This additional reimbursement amount will be available beginning July 1, 2022 and ending on June 30, 2023. The law temporarily provides an additional reimbursement in the amount of 10 cents for each meal and supplement served under the program. Additionally, the Keep Kids Fed Act of 2022 (P.L. 117-158) authorized a tier II family or group day care home described in subsection (f)(3)(A)(iii) of section 17 of the Richard B. Russell National School Lunch Act (42 U.S.C. 1766) to be considered a tier I family or group day care home for purposes of the program authorized under that section for the same period. This temporary measure will provide tier II homes with tier I reimbursement rates only for the time period beginning July 1, 2022 and ending on June 30, 2023.
CACFP National Disqualified List (NDL) Access Guide for Sponsoring Organizations
All sponsors are required to check the USDA’s National Disqualified List to ensure their responsible principals, and key CACFP staff are not included on the list. Sponsors are not allowed to have key CACFP personnel or any of their responsible principals on the NDL and if they do show up on the list the state agency must be contacted. The person needs to be removed from their CACFP position or as a responsible principal since they are on the list due to serious deficiency and termination from the CACFP within the last seven years. They would remain on this list past seven years if there was money owed to the state/USDA.
This guide provides directions on how to obtain NDL access. Once a user has access to the NDL, the user can then use the “help” icon at the top of the screen to access the NDL user manuals for instruction on how to use and obtain information from the NDL.
