AC Transit Salutes National Apprentice Week – November 13-19, 2017

This week marks the start of the third annual National Apprentice Week (NAW), November 13-19, 2017. Nationally, it’s an opportunity to share how apprenticeships connect skilled workers with good-paying jobs, making the American workforce more competitive. Locally, AC Transit’s East Bay Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Project is proud to highlight the apprentices and pre-apprentice programs helping build the East Bay’s first BRT system. Many BRT apprentices receive award-winning construction and pre-apprenticeship training through AC Transit’s official partners Cypress Mandela Training Center in Oakland and Rising Sun Energy Center in Berkeley and career preparation partner West Oakland Job Resource Center.
