CSMS # 64849340 - An updated Ocean Export Manifest Email Technical Requirements document has been posted with guidance for submitting the supplemental 1302A information

An updated version of the Ocean Export Manifest Email Technical Requirements document is now available and the link can be found in the “Update on CBP Form 1302A Submission via the Document Image System” section, located here: ACE Electronic Export Manifest Information and Requirements | U.S. Customs and Border Protection

The document includes guidance on submitting the supplemental manifest document (CBP168-AnyFileName.txt) that shall accompany submissions to the DIS export manifest email inbox, whenever a 1302A is sent.

NOTE 1: In the previous related CSMS messages, the type of supplemental document was indicated as .xls (Excel). This has been updated to be a .txt (text) file.

Attached to this CSMS is a sample text file, along with an excel spreadsheet with guidance on generating this text file.

NOTE 2: No earlier than May 10, CBP is expected to implement functionality that requires the supplemental manifest document (CBP168-AnyFileName.txt) to be included when submitting a 1302A to the DIS export manifest email inbox. A CSMS message will be sent when the PRODUCTION date is confirmed.
