+ Public Rally to Support Ukraine

Since the start of the war in Ukraine, Louisville Metro Government and the Office for Globalization have received an outpouring of requests from residents asking how they can help. In response, Mayor Greg Fischer established the Louisville Task Force (LTF) to aid and support Ukrainians. Headed by the Director of the Louisville Metro Office for Globalization Director, Kevin Lynch, the task force’s mission is to provide an answer to residents asking how they can help. As a group, LTF consists of dedicated individuals with the connections and expertise necessary to provide meaningful support to Ukrainians. Please join Mayor Greg Fischer and the LTF in front of Metro Hall, 527 W. Jefferson St., for a rally to support the people of Ukraine and nonprofit organizations working in Ukraine.

+ Participate in the New American Business Resilience and Growth Program

Attention Business Owners! Has your business been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic?
The Office for Globalization has partnered with Louisville’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC) to launch a small business pilot program to assist New American business owners with COVID resilience and recovery and to prepare for business growth.
A limited number of New American business owners will be selected to participate in the pilot program, REACH, designed specifically for owners who are ready to grow their business!
This program will provide practical, hands-on workshops designed to help business owners to prepare for financing and growth. Those who successfully complete the program will be eligible for a business grant and targeted business loans.
To complete the program, business owners must:
Step 1: Complete a survey identify interests and needs. Owners will be connected with small business resources after completing the survey.
Step 2: Participate in a Business Health Check Workshop. Maximum of 20 participants per workshop.
Step 3: Apply for REACH after initial workshop. Upon completion of the program, participants will be eligible for business funding, including a business grant, a government-funded business loan and/or a bank-funded business loan.

+ A Community Service of Remembrance: Hope & Healing
 Sunday, April 3, 4:00 p.m.
The community is invited to bring photos/mementos of person(s) who died to include in a memorial display. Art materials will be provided to create symbols of hope and remembrance. Counselors and trained volunteers will be available to assist. Join us for music, reflection and refreshments.
Participants will gather in the Healing Space for readings, music and messages of hope, honoring and celebrating the lives of those being remembered. Speakers will share how they have coped, continued moving forward and found hope after experiencing sudden and tragic loss.

The One Love Louisville Ambassador Institute is a free, in-person training scheduled for one day only based on current lineup of presenters and lunch will be served. This training, which has been attended by nearly 639 people since its inception in 2017, aims to inform participants of individual and collective efforts to reduce violence in Louisville.
