Information sought on poached antelope near Cody

CODY- The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is seeking information on three antelope illegally killed and left to waste in the Diamond Basin area southwest of Cody.
South Cody Game Warden Craig Smith said that a fawn and two buck antelope were discovered and reported by a member of the public horseback riding in the area over the weekend. “All three antelope were shot and left in the field to waste,” Smith said. “The antelope were likely killed last Friday, Jan. 30.”
Anyone with possible information regarding this poaching incident, or who was in the area and may have noted suspicious vehicles or activities, is encouraged to call South Cody Game Warden Craig Smith at 307-587-3886, the Cody Game and Fish office at 307-527-7125 or the STOP POACHING hotline at 1-877-WGFD-TIP (1-877-943-3847). Callers may remain anonymous and any information leading to the arrest and conviction may result in a reward of up to $5,000
