New Lander Region Game Warden

LANDER-Linnea Sailor is the new Game Warden for the Lander Region of the Wyoming Game and Fish Department. She fills a vacant entry level position and will focus on watercraft duties and assisting senior game wardens throughout the region. The Lander Region ranges from Rawlins to Dubois to Shoshoni and points between. With her watercraft responsibilities she will be checking boats for safety compliance and fisherman for licenses and creel limits. She will also spend time in the field this fall to help increase enforcement efforts during the hunting seasons.

Sailor was born and raised in Albert Lea, Minnesota. She attended Iowa State University in Ames, IA where she earned a degree in Animal Ecology in 2011. She graduated from the Wyoming Law Enforcement Academy in July 2013 and began her career with the Department as an entry level warden serving the Green River Region until her transfer to Lander.  She holds her office inside the Lander Regional office, 260 Buena Vista Drive, Lander, and says “I am happy to be here and excited to learn a new area, meet new people, and discover everything this region has to offer.”

Jason Hunter, Lander Region supervisor says “We are happy to have this position filled again as we get requests from the public every year for an increased field presence. Linnea will add the assistance we need and should be an asset to our Region.”

You can contact Sailor at 307-332-2688.
