CASPER – The Wyoming Game and Fish Department’s Casper Region will host a community open house July 20 at the Dan Speas Fish Hatchery
The public is invited to attend the event that will begin at 11 a.m. and conclude at 4 p.m. Hatchery personnel will be giving tours of the facility throughout the day. Other activities include interactive wildlife and fish education displays, as well as free lunch.
The event is free to the public with food sponsored by an Operator Group including Chesapeake Energy, Anadarko Petroleum Corporation, Samson Resources, EOG Resources, SM Energy and RKI Exploration. Drinks are donated by Pepsi-Cola of Casper and equipment donated by Keyhole Outdoor Living.
“Game and Fish is offering this summer open house to provide families the opportunity to come ask questions and to get to know their local Game and Fish,” says Lars Alsager, superintendent of the Speas Fish Hatchery. “From fish to wildlife, our employees will be there to answer questions about current issues.”
The Dan Speas Hatchery is located along the North Platte River near the town of Casper, Wyoming at 8200 Speas Road.
