WYOMING GAME AND FISH SEEKS INFORMATION ON FOUR MULE DEER POACHED
LANDER-Dubois Game Warden, Brian Baker, is seeking information on four buck mule deer illegally shot outside of Dubois. The deer were discovered during the week of November 4, but were thought to have been shot November 2-3. They were found near the intersection of U.S. Highway 26 and the East Fork Road. Three of the four were found with the heads removed.
Baker has collected evidence from the scene, and the investigation is ongoing. He urges anyone with information about these crimes-even if it is second hand-to report it to the Stop Poaching Hotline at (877) WGFD-TIP, the Game and Fish website at wgfd.wyo.gov, or to call him directly at 307-455-2424.
“You never know which piece of information can lead to solving a case, and with the ability to remain anonymous, even those close to the violator who are disturbed by the crime can call without having their identity revealed,” states Baker. He adds callers may be eligible for a cash reward up to $5,000 if the information leads to a conviction.
