State of WY July 2019 Oil and Gas Lease Auction
The Wyoming Office of State Lands and Investments (OSLI) will hold an oil and gas lease auction July 10th through July 17th, 2019 via EnergyNet.com. OSLI is offering oil and gas lease rights on 212 parcels covering an approximate 69,829.34 acres across 16 counties within the State of Wyoming. The auction listing can be viewed at https://www.energynet.com/govt_listing.pl?sg=5079 (GIS data is available to download from EnergyNet). All bidders are required to register EnergyNet prior to the auction to be eligible to participate.
Revenue generated by the auction will be distributed to support public education, the farm loan program, state penitentiaries, and other State funded programs. All leases resulting from winning bids will be issued on the lease form currently in effect as approved by the Wyoming Board of Land Commissioners as Lessor; for a primary term of five years, rental of $1.00 per acre, and a royalty rate of either 16 2/3% or 12 1/2% of the production as indicated on the parcel listing. Bidding will be on an online basis only.
