Governor to Continue Mental Health Town Hall Meetings in Cheyenne

CHEYENNE, Wyo. – Following strong community engagement around the state, Governor Mark Gordon will host a Town Hall meeting addressing mental health care in Cheyenne on January 29.

The discussion will take place from 2 to 3:30 pm in the Connector Auditorium in the Wyoming Capitol. It is open to the public and aimed at fostering open conversations with community members and partners about efforts underway to increase awareness of available resources and improve access to mental health care. Representatives of the executive, legislative and judicial branches are invited to attend, as well as local elected officials.

“We have seen a great response in multiple Wyoming communities, as the challenges surrounding mental health care extend to all corners of the state,” Governor Gordon said. “I welcome the opportunity to hear from Cheyenne residents as well.”

Governor Gordon is prioritizing improving access to mental health resources. The Health Care Task Force is working to identify barriers, opportunities, and gaps in the network of mental health and substance abuse care in the state. The Town Halls are an opportunity to hear from local communities firsthand.
