Kebin Haller Named Colonel of Wyoming Highway Patrol

CHEYENNE, Wyo. – Kebin Haller, deputy director of the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI), has been named the new Colonel of the Wyoming Highway Patrol by Wyoming Department of Transportation Director John Cox.

“Kebin has a long and accomplished career in law enforcement,” said Governor Mead. “He grew up in Rawlins and knows Wyoming well. His dedication to public safety and law enforcement will be an asset to the Highway Patrol.”

Kebin Haller graduated from Rawlins High School and the University of Wyoming with a degree in Administration of Justice. He joined the Rawlins Police Department and spent almost seven years serving his home town. Haller joined the DCI in 1997 and was named deputy director in 2003. He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy, an executive board member of the Rocky Mountain High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area and Past President of the Wyoming Peace Officers Association.

“I’m honored and humbled to become a member of the Wyoming Highway Patrol,” said Haller. “My priority will be the employees of the Highway Patrol. I have a strong belief in teamwork and cooperation, both internally as well as externally with our law enforcement and criminal justice partners.”

Mr. Haller assumes his duties on September 21.
