The Town of Encampment, Wyoming, will conduct a public meeting at 6:00 p.m. local time on October 8, 2026, in the council chambers at Encampment Town Hall, located at 614 McCaffrey Avenue. The purpose of the meeting is to allow citizens to review and comment on the following project:
The Town of Encampment 2027 Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Project will include rehabilitation and/or replacement of existing sanitary sewer facilities within the Town of Encampment. The scope of work will include the rehabilitation and/or replacement of deteriorated existing sanitary sewer collection facilities, including sanitary sewer mains, manholes, sanitary sewer services, and appurtenances. The project is necessary to reduce significant inflow and infiltration (I&I) as well as the potential for exfiltration and cross-contamination.
At the meeting, the Town of Encampment will present the scope of the proposed project and will discuss the estimated cost of the improvements and the plan for funding the improvements. A preliminary plan of improvements, cost estimates, and the funding plan can also be reviewed at Encampment Town Hall located at 614 McCaffrey Avenue, Encampment, WY. Based on current cost estimates, the Town of Encampment intends to borrow $1,500,000 from the Wyoming Clean Water State Revolving Loan Fund administered by the Wyoming Office of State Lands and Investments with 75% Principal Forgiveness. User rate fees will not be increased as a result of this project. Loan terms will be a 1.5% interest rate, and the term of the loan will be 20 years.
