Please be advised that revised Land Quality Division (LQD) Noncoal Chapters 2, 9, 10 and new Chapter 14 were approved by the Governor's Office and filed with the WY Secretary of State on August 21, 2026 (effective date). For copies of the revised rules please visit the WY SOS site at https://rules.wyo.gov/.
In addition to the revised and new rules, efforts are underway to finalize several guidance documents and to update the MOU with the State Mine Inspector for signature. Notice will be given when those documents are finalized and published. Guidance documents will include a new Blasting Guideline 7 applicable to coal and noncoal operations, revised Blaster Certification and Nuisance SOPs and retiring current Coal SOP 6.2.
