Westmoreland Haystack Mining, LLC of Billings, MT has filed a mining permit renewal application with the Land Quality Division of the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality for the mining of coal in Uinta County, Wyoming. The Haystack Mine is located approximately 20 miles northeast of Evanston, WY off of Highway 189. The application may be viewed at the Cheyenne or Lander District Office of the Land Quality Division. The application will be readvertised for public comment prior to approval by the Department of Environmental Quality.
