A courtesy public notice is hereby given that the Industrial Siting Division received an amendment request on January 27, 2026 from US SFR Owner, LLC regarding the Kemmerer Power Station Unit 1 Project in Lincoln County, Wyoming. The Permittee requested a change to the construction schedule of the above captioned project. The change in the construction schedule is not expected to impede full power operations commencing in the fourth quarter of 2031.
All parties to the permit were notified of the requested amendment by certified mail, returned receipt. Information sent to the Industrial Siting Council and parties included a cover letter stating the right to be heard by the Council on this matter, a copy of the amendment request and all information submitted to the Division regarding Permittee’s amendment request. The request to amend the permit was publicly noticed in the Casper Star Tribune on February 5 and February 19, 2026 as well as the Star Valley Independent on February 4 and February 18, 2026. A courtesy public notice was also posted on the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality website on January 30, 2026.
No party nor Council member requested the matter be heard before the Council. Pursuant to Condition #11 of the permit, the Director authorized the change on March 6, 2026. The public may review a copy of the approved amendment and any associated materials at the office of the WDEQ Industrial Siting Division in Cheyenne, Wyoming or online at:
