Courtesy notice is hereby given that the Industrial Siting Division received an amendment request on December 30, 2025 from AES, parent company of Settler Wind, LLC (Permittee) regarding the Settler Wind Farm Project in Converse County. The Permittee requested to amend the Permit to reflect start of construction to on or before November 14, 2027.
All parties to the permit were notified of the requested amendment by certified mail, returned receipt. The request to amend the permit was publicly noticed in the Casper Star Tribunal on January 10 and January 24, 2026, as well as the Douglas Budget on January 14 and January 28, 2026. A courtesy public notice was posted on the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality website on January 5, 2026.
No party nor Council member requested the matter be heard before the Council. Pursuant to Condition #11 of the permit, the Director authorized the change on February 13, 2026. The public may review a copy of the approved amendment and any associated materials at the office of the WDEQ Industrial Siting Division in Cheyenne, Wyoming or online at:
