Notice is hereby given that the Industrial Siting Division received an amendment request from Gold King Corp. (Permittee) on July 1 and July 14, 2025 regarding the CK Gold Project in Laramie County. The Permittee requested amendments to the design by adding a geomembrane to the soil liner beneath the tailing management facility, to change the date of construction to first quarter 2026 and extend the permit to December 31, 2026. The requests were granted.
Pursuant to Condition #11 of their permit, the Administrator provided public notice of the requested amendment to permit DEQ/ISC 20-08 on July 24 and August 7, 2025. The Director authorized the change on August 22, 2025. The public may review a copy of the approved amendment and associated materials at the office of the WDEQ Industrial Siting Division in Cheyenne, Wyoming or online at:
