Public Notice:

Pursuant to W.S. 35-11-1604, notice is hereby given that Magellan Pipeline Company, L.P (MPC), a subsidiary of ONEOK, Inc and the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) are proposing to enter into a Remedy Agreement under the VRP for Magellan Pearson Ranch Release Site located at 18323 Highway 85 in the NW ¼ of Section 7 Township 36N Range 62W, Latitude 43.115, Longitude -104.359, in Niobrara County. 

The VRP was established to provide a safe and efficient method for cleaning up contaminated sites and putting them back into productive use. The Site entered the VRP on September 25, 2009. The Site is impacted with TPH-GRO, TPH-DRO, Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene and Xylenes in groundwater. DEQ and MPC, propose to remedy this contamination by In-Situ Chemical Oxidation (ISCO) followed by Monitored Natural Attenuation (MNA).  

In accordance with W.S. 35-11-1607, the requirements and remediation standards set forth in a remedy agreement are permanent, except for certain situations where the agreement may be reopened or terminated. DEQ and MPC welcomes comments on the proposed remedy. In accordance with W.S. 35-11-1604, this Notice will be published for four consecutive weeks. A thirty (30) day public comment period will follow the last publication of this Notice. To comment on the proposed remedy, you do so in writing and address comments to:

If twenty-five (25) people or an organization representing at least twenty-five (25) people request a hearing on the proposed remedy agreement, it will be held before the Administrator of the Solid and Hazardous Waste Division. If a hearing is scheduled, separate notice will be given. You may request a hearing as part of your written comments on the proposed remedy agreement.
