Public Meeting Notice: Airbase Acres Improvement & Service District

 

The Airbase Acres Improvement & Service District, 2814 Burris Road, Natrona County Wyoming, will conduct a public meeting at 5:00 p.m., local time, on August 7, 2024, in the Natrona County International Airport training room. The purpose of the meeting is to allow citizens to review and comment on the following project. Air Base Acres 10” Transmission Main Replacement Project, the transmission main extends from the Casper Regional Water System in 6 Mile Road to the district distribution system.  The existing 10” transmission main is more than 50 years old, was constructed with Asbestos Cement pipe and needs to be replaced.  The Probable Construction Cost is estimated to be $550,000.

At the meeting, the Airbase Acres District Board will present the preliminary design of the proposed project and will discuss the estimated cost of the improvements and the plan for funding the improvements. A preliminary plan of improvements, cost estimates, and the funding plan can also be reviewed at Inberg-Miller Engineers, 1120 East C Street, Casper, WY 82601, or contact Gary Steele at 307-635-6827.

Based on current cost estimates, the Airbase Acres Improvement & Service District plans to borrow five hundred and fifty thousand dollars $ 550,000 with anticipated 25% loan forgiveness from the Wyoming Drinking Water State Revolving Loan Fund administered by the Wyoming Office of State Lands and Investments. Property assessment will be used to repay the loan. Loan terms will be 1.5% interest rate and 30 year duration.
