Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing on the proposed City of Cody Pressure Reducing Valve (PRV) Replacement and Upgrade Project (Project) will be held in the Council Chambers of City Hall on the 16th day of July, 2024, at 7:00 pm or as soon thereafter as practical. Any and all persons interested may appear and be heard respecting the Project.

The Project will replace up to six (6) PRV’s within the City’s treated water distribution system due to age and deteriorated condition. At the Public Hearing, City of Cody staff will present an overall summary and conceptual cost estimate of the Project. A more detailed summary of the planned improvements, cost estimates, and funding plan can also be reviewed at the Public Works Administration Office at Cody City Hall by contacting Kris Bruxvoort, E.I., Staff Engineer, at (307) 527-3477.

Based on the current Project cost estimates, the City of Cody plans to borrow $2,000,000 from the Wyoming Drinking Water State Revolving Fund administered by the Wyoming Office of State Lands and Investments. The user charges for water service within the City will not increase as a direct result the Project, and future user charge increases will generally follow the recommendations of the City of Cody 2021 Water Master Plan. The State Revolving Fund (SRF) Loan terms are anticipated to be 1.0% interest rate for 20 years, with approximately $480,000 of principal forgiveness.

Written comments about the Project are welcome. Please submit any written comments to Kris Bruxvoort, E.I., Staff Engineer, at before 5.00 p.m. local time on Monday July 15, 2024.
