Public Notice: Exit From Interim Mine Stabilization - UEC Uranium Corp., PT0478

UEC Uranium Corp. (UEC). has filed a notification with the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality, Land Quality Division for exiting interim mine stabilization status and resuming full operations. The Willow Creek Mine is operated under mining permit no. 478 and is located in: the Powder River Basin at the base of the North Pumpkin Butte. The Willow Creek Mine property consists of Irigaray and Christensen Ranch. The notification to exit interim mine stabilization and return to full operations is applicable to the Christensen Ranch site, which consists of approximately 14,000 acres within all or portions of Sections 1, 2, 3, 10, 11, and 12 of Township 44N, Range 77W; Sections 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, and 21 of Township 44N, Range 76W; Sections 24, 25, 34, 35 and 36 of Township 45N, Range 77W; and Sections 19, 30, 31, 32 and 33 of Township 45N, Range 76W in Johnson and Campbell Counties, Wyoming. The mineral being mined is uranium. The mine is located approximately 50 miles southeast of Buffalo, 32 miles west of Kaycee and 30 miles northeast of Midwest, Wyoming. Information regarding the operation and notification to exit interim stabilization may be reviewed at the office of the WDEQ-Land Quality Division in Cheyenne (and at the District III office in Sheridan).
