Gold King Corp. published notice of their mine permit application filed with the Land Quality Division (LQD) of the Department of Environmental Quality for the mining of copper, gold and silver minerals in Laramie County Wyoming. Those wishing to file written objections to the application were provided an opportunity to file objections within 30 days after final publication of the last notice provided on February 28, 2024. The LQD received 14 comments in support of approval of the mine permit application and 1 written objection to the mine permit application. In accordance with Wyoming Statute 35-11-406(q)(i) the LQD is providing notice that the comments and objection are available to the public and may be reviewed by requesting copies of the comments and objection.
