Air Quality Advisory Board Meeting
The Wyoming Air Quality Advisory Board (Board) will meet will meet on July 11, 2023 at 9:00 AM. The meeting will be held both as a virtual public meeting and in person at 200 W. 17th St., Cheyenne, WY, 3rd Floor, Room 313. Rulemaking:
The Air Quality Division (Division) is requesting the Board’s consideration on proposed changes to the following Wyoming Air Quality Standards and Regulations (WAQSR):
- Chapter 2 Ambient Standards
- Chapter 3 General Emissions Standards
- Chapter 4 State Performance Standards for Specific Existing Sources
- Chapter 5 National Emission Standards
- Chapter 8 Nonattainment Area Regulations
- Chapter 11 National Acid Rain Program
- Chapter 14 Emission Trading Program Regulations
The proposed rulemaking involves:
- Removing outdated State Plan requirements that have been superseded by a Federal Plan in Chapter 4.
- Revising the incorporation by reference sections in the aforementioned chapters of the WAQSR to incorporate all Code of Federal Regulations citations as of July 1, 2023.
- Various updates to chapter formatting, typographical revisions, and improvements to the general readability of the regulations that occur throughout the seven chapters.
The proposed revisions to all seven chapters involve changes to the Wyoming State Implementation Plan (SIP). The Division will submit these SIP revisions to the Environmental Protection Agency.
The Air Quality Division will provide the Board with updates on current activities and topics pertaining to air regulation that may affect Wyoming.
