The Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) Solid Waste Permitting and Corrective Action Program is pleased to announce the 2023 Solid Waste Training Schedule. The training sessions will be offered online and in-person at a DEQ office or at a location to be determined. While these trainings are not required by the Solid Waste Rules they are intended to help solid waste professionals and consultants gain a better understanding of the Rules. These sessions are free and open to solid waste professionals and consultants.
- March 30, 2023 – Municipal Solid Waste Landfill Operator and Manager Exam
- April/May 2023 – Dead Animal Composting
- This session will have a hands-on field training
- August 2023 – Municipal Solid Waste Landfill Operator and Manager Exam
- This session will be in-person only and will be held during the Annual WSWRA Conference

- September 2023 – MSW Annual Report
- November 2023 – State Guaranteed Trust Account Informational Webinar
