WDE Seeks Public Comment through February 28, 2022
- The proposed Chapter 10 Rules include the proposed 2021 Science Performance Standards and proposed 2021 Math Performance Standards.
- Performance standards are a subset of the content standards that all students are expected to learn and be assessed on, and specify the degree of understanding for that particular standard.
- Performance standards were first identified for Computer Science in 2021 and are now being identified in the other content areas by the State Board of Education.

- Join a statewide community of educators to discuss, troubleshoot, and expand your ideas around 3D science teaching and learning.
- The Science and Mathematics Teaching Center at the University of Wyoming invites K-12 teachers from Wyoming to join a statewide course community for five virtual sessions across spring 2022.
- Sessions will focus on teacher-identified topics and give space for teachers to collaboratively work on problems, receive feedback on instructional materials, plan, and/or explore resources connected to their current classroom needs.
- PTSB and graduate credit are available.
- Sessions are from 4:30-6 p.m.

- Advanced education students and/or practicing educators are encouraged to apply.
- Internships are 10 weeks long and pay $12.50/hour with a $750 housing stipend.

- Workforce Wednesdays: This new CTE PD series has a tailored focus each week for the career cluster of the month: January-Agriculture; February-Hospitality & Tourism; March-STEM, Robotics, & Engineering; April-Health Sciences; May-Transportation, Distribution & Logistics.
- Workforce Wednesday Weekly Focus: On the first Wednesday, participants learn from related business/industry, second Wednesday - Wyoming training programs, third Wednesday - workforce services, and on the fourth Wednesday - CTE teachers share best practices.
- MBA Research Business & Marketing PD: This series introduces teachers to resources available through the MBA Research & Curriculum Center (fourth Monday each month).
- CTE Paraprofessional Training: DRIVE (Developing Rewarding Integrated Vocational Experiences) training provides the tools needed by paraprofessionals, job coaches, and any individuals who work with CTE students and local employers (February 4).

- Thanks to a generous grant from the Wyoming Arts Council, the conference is free.
- Attendees will receive a stipend of $100 to help cover hotel and travel expenses.

March 22, 2022 Submission Deadline
- Open to teachers with students in 5th through 12th grades.
- Podcasts must be between three and eight minutes long.
- Students can work with a class or extracurricular group to make their podcasts.
