WY-TOPP ADMINISTRATION FEEDBACK SURVEY

WY-TOPP logo

The Wyoming Department of Education would like to thank every administrator, educator, and staff member who contributed to a successful administration of the spring WY-TOPP assessment. The WDE assessment team values your input, and we would appreciate your participation in our 2018 WY-TOPP administration survey. We will use the results of the survey to inform policy/procedures, manuals, and align our communication for the 2018-2019 school year to fit your needs. Please follow this link to participate in the survey.

WY-TOPP SUMMATIVE RESULTS TIMELINE

Administrators and teachers can expect results from the WY-TOPP Summative Assessment in early September. The Individual Student Reports (ISRs) and envelopes, to be mailed to parents, will be shipped out to schools on September 4th. Appropriate school district personnel will also be able to see results in the Online Reporting Systems (ORS) starting 9/4.

For this first year of the new assessment, results will be released a bit later due to the calibration work that takes place this summer in order to determine the cut scores for our Wyoming students. In June and July, several teacher panels will be convened to determine the Performance Level Descriptors (PLDs) and to do Standard Setting, whereby proficiency levels are defined and corresponding cutscores are set. In future years, summative results will be available earlier in the summer, by August 1st at the latest.

WIDA: ACCESS 2.0 WORKSHOP - INTERPRETING ACCESS FOR ELLS 2.0 SCORE REPORTS

June 7th in Casper, WY or June 8th in Riverton, WY

EL teachers and EL coordinators have the opportunity to learn how the ACCESS for ELLs 2.0 Score Reports provide important information about students’ academic English language proficiency. Participants will examine the different types of reports available and each report’s function. Participants will also discuss the connection between the score reports and the WIDA ELD Standards and Assessment System, and how these reports can serve as a tool to initiate discussion about instruction. This is a great opportunity to get any questions you might have answered. Participants have the option to bring score reports or learn how to pull score reports at the workshop.
