Broadband Expansion Grant Application Updates
On May 19, 2026 Gov. Tony Evers, together with the PSC, announced that the latest round of the State Broadband Expansion Grant Program open and currently accepting applications. This grant round makes up to $60 million available to expand high speed internet to unserved areas of the state. On June 2, 2026 the Commission amended the Grant Application Instructions. The new instruction include details for requesting a Fabric License and updated location numbers based on new broadband availability data. Also, the Commission has published a spreadsheet of eligible locations by ID and a summary of eligible locations by county and by community. The application period runs through July 27, 2026 at 1:30 pm CDT.
