Rural Energy Startup Program Round 2 Webinar Recording |
|
|
The Public Service Commission’s Office of Energy Innovation (OEI) opened a new round of the Rural Energy Startup Program (RESP) on May 30.
RESP is funded through the Department of Energy’s Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) and supports communities in taking initial steps to understand and reduce energy use. Rural municipalities can receive up to $75,000 for comprehensive energy planning and renewable resource planning, and up to $125,000 for energy efficiency audits and projects, with no match required. Additionally, communities can work together in a consortium, increasing the maximum request amount for each activity (see the Application Instructions for more details).
The OEI recorded a webinar which provides potential applicants with an overview of the program. Visit the RESP website or the PSC YouTube page to view the webinar video recording, along with the other program materials.
If you have any questions about the grant program or any other energy planning or technical assistance needs, please feel free to contact the OEI team at OEI@wisconsin.gov.
