Wisconsin IRA Home Electrification and Appliance Rebates Program Update
- The Wisconsin Home Electrification and Appliance Rebates (HEAR) Program went live on December 18, 2024.
- The HEAR program will provide rebates to those with low or moderate incomes (<150% Area Median Income) to purchase products that can reduce the energy used in their homes.
- The program will launch in two phases:
- Phase One: Available Now!
- IRA Registered Contractors can provide discounts for certain products that require installation.
- Available products include:
- ENERGY STAR-certified Electric heat pumps for cooling and heating,
- ENERGY STAR-certified Heat pump water heaters,
- Electric wiring and panel upgrades.
- Phase Two is anticipated to launch in early 2025:
- In this phase, approved customers will be able to buy certain products through participating stores or through a contractor.
- Products to become available in early 2025 include:
- ENERGY STAR-certified electric heat pump clothes dryer,
- ENERGY STAR-certified electric stoves, cooktops and ranges.
- Rebates for multifamily buildings and rebates for insulation and air sealing that require contractor installation will also become available in early 2025.
