$50,000 Powerball Ticket Purchased in Madison Expires May 7
Unclaimed ticket bought at Madison Kwik Trip for November 9, 2019 drawing

 

MADISON, Wis. – A Powerball Lotto ticket worth $50,000 will go unclaimed if the winner does not come forward by the May 7, 2020 expiration date. The winning ticket, from the November 9, 2019 drawing, was purchased at Kwik Trip (4741 Lien Road) in Madison. This ticket may be claimed by mail or with an appointment only in-person visit to the Madison Lottery Office.

 

The months of March and April produced three $50,000 Wisconsin Powerball winners:

  • Abbigail Leavens, of Sheboygan, claimed a $50,000 winning ticket for the March 21 draw. The ticket was purchased at Minit Mart in Sheboygan.
  • John Sakowski, of Appleton, claimed a $50,000 winning ticket for the April 1 draw. The ticket was purchased at Grand Chute Motomart in Appleton.
  • David Krause, of Lake Geneva, claimed a $50,000 winning ticket for the April 18 draw. The ticket was purchased at Maxi Shell in Delavan.

Information on claiming prizes by mail can be found at https://wilottery.com/winners/claim-prize. In-person redemption is currently available only at the Madison office with an appointment. Winners may call (608) 261-4916 to discuss available appointment times.

The odds of winning the $50,000 Powerball prize is 1 in 913,130. Powerball drawings are Wednesday and Saturday at 9:59 p.m. Tickets must be purchased before 9 p.m. on Wednesday and Saturday to be included in that day’s drawing.
