FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
$100K Powerball Prize Claimed
Winning Power Play 2X ticket
MADISON, Wis. – Choosing Powerball's Power Play feature turned out to be lucrative for a Wisconsin Lottery player, changing his $50,000 into $100,000.
Christopher Lehman of Eau Claire bought his winning ticket at the New Lisbon Travel Stop (1703 E. Bridge Street) in New Lisbon. His ticket matched 4 of 5 numbers plus the Powerball. Since Lehman also purchased the Power Play prize multiplier feature, the $50,000 prize was multiplied by the Power Play number drawn; turning his $50,000 ticket into a $100,000 winner. The numbers drawn were 12, 21, 22, 29, 32, PB-21 and PP-2X.
The odds of winning the $50,000 Powerball prize is 1 in 913,130; the odds of winning the 2X Power Play are 1 in 1.8.
