Powerball and Badger 5 Paying it Forward

Over $1.1 Million in Prizes


MADISON, Wis. – Powerball pays out its significant $1 Million prize and Badger 5 pays out $91,000 jackpot and has a new $63,000 jackpot win.

Thomas Yoshizumi of LaCrosse claimed his $1 Million Powerball prize from the August 10 drawing. He purchased his quick pick ticket at Kwik Trip (3130 State Street) in LaCrosse. Yoshizumi matched 5 of 5 numbers, but not the Powerball number, to win the prize. Winning numbers were 35, 41, 44, 58, 59 and PB 3.

Daniel Steffen of New Holstein claimed the $91,000 Badger 5 jackpot prize from August 10's drawing. He matched all five number (2, 3, 9, 20, 23) to take home the prize. Steffen purchased the winning ticket at Webers BP (2305 Calumet Drive) in New Holstein.

Badger 5 had another jackpot hit, this time in last night's drawing. The winner, who matched all five numbers (2, 12, 18, 21, 30), will take home $63,000. Poor Richard's Oklahoma BP (10731 W. Oklahoma Avenue) in West Allis.

Odds of winning Powerball's $1 Million prize are 1 in 11,688,054; odds of winning the Badger 5 jackpot are 1 in 169,911.
