Gov. Evers Releases Statement Regarding Passing of Racine County Executive Jonathan Delagrave
Governor authorizes Racine County to lower flags to half-staff in honor of County Executive Delagrave
MADISON — Gov. Tony Evers today signed Executive Order #233 authorizing Racine County to lower the flags of the United States and the state of Wisconsin to half-staff as a mark of respect for Racine County Executive Jonathan Delagrave, who passed away on June 28, 2024, at the age of 51.

“County Executive Delagrave was an exceptional leader and truly devoted public servant who worked tirelessly over his many years of service to leave a lasting impact on Racine County and our state. Having known and worked with Jonathan for years, I’m incredibly grateful I had the privilege of knowing him and serving with him during our time in office together,” said Gov. Evers. “Kathy and I are deeply saddened by his unexpected passing, and our thoughts are with his family, friends, colleagues, and the Racine County community during this incredibly difficult time.”

Executive Order #233 authorizes flags to be lowered by Racine officials as appropriate, including on the date of interment, and is available here.
