DOA to Hold Public Input Sessions for Department of Housing and Urban Development Funded Grants Beginning June 18

Public sessions to be held in Menomonie, Stevens Point, Crandon, and Platteville 

 

Madison, Wis. - The Wisconsin Department of Administration, Division of Energy, Housing and Community Resources (DEHCR) will hold several public input sessions to solicit public feedback and input for the Wisconsin 2025-2029 Consolidated Plan, which guides the distribution of federal and state funds for a variety of housing, community, and economic development programs.

The listening sessions will cover U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) funded grant programs such as the Small Cities Community Development Block Grants (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME), Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG), Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS, and Housing Trust Funds. The dates and locations are as follows:

  • Tuesday, June 18 at the Menomonie Public Library (600 Wolske Bay Rd., Menomonie, WI 54751) from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday, June 19 at the Stevens Point Public Library (1001 Main St., Stevens Point, WI 54481) from 10:00 a.m.– 12:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday, June 25 at the Crandon Public Library (110 W. Polk St., Crandon, WI 54520) from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday, July 16 at the Platteville Public Library (225 W. Main St., Platteville, WI 53818) from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.
  • A virtual public input session will be held on Wednesday, August 7, with additional details to be provided soon.

All sessions are open to the public and do not require registration. Specific accommodations must be requested one week before the input session. To aid in the continued development of the 2025-2029 Consolidated Plan, the Assessment of Fair Housing survey and the Public Housing Authority survey continue to be open to the public.
