Hey there, folks. Governor Tony Evers here.

I’m excited to help kick off Shop Small Wisconsin, a season of celebrating all the small businesses at the hearts of all our communities across the state.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve had the chance to do some shopping and meet some of our talented small business owners and entrepreneurs in Antigo, Oconto, Baraboo, and Delavan.

From retail and art to restaurants and coffee shops, small businesses support Wisconsin families, create community spaces, and bring unique products and services to every corner of our state.

Small businesses are more likely to hire locally, buy supplies locally, and give back to our communities.

And they employ nearly half of Wisconsin workers and about two-thirds of every dollar spent at a small business stays in the community.

So, investing in our small businesses is also an investment in our neighbors and communities and in local jobs and economies.

That’s why we’ve been proud to help over 9,400 businesses open new or expanded storefronts through our Main Street Bounceback Grant Program.

You can help us keep up this good work by shopping at your local businesses and Main Streets this holiday season.

Now’s the perfect time to visit your favorite small businesses and maybe check out a couple of new ones, too.

This holiday season, let’s shop small, Wisconsin!
