Gov. Evers Appoints Nicole Ziebell as Marquette County Register of Deeds

MADISON — Gov. Tony Evers today announced his appointment of Nicole Ziebell to serve as Marquette County Register of Deeds. The appointment fills a vacancy created by the resignation of Bette Krueger, effective Jan. 2, 2024. Ziebell will serve for the remainder of the unexpired term that ends Jan. 5, 2025.

After serving as deputy register of deeds for the past few years, Nicole Ziebell is well prepared to carry out the duties of Marquette County Register of Deeds,” said Gov. Evers. “We are grateful for her commitment, and she will serve Marquette County well in this new role.”

Ziebell is a graduate of Montello High School and has served as the deputy register of deeds for Marquette County since 2021.

“I am extremely honored to accept the appointment of Marquette County Register of Deeds by Governor Evers,” said Ziebell. “I truly appreciate his confidence in me and look forward to serving the citizens of Marquette County in this capacity. I have thoroughly enjoyed serving as deputy register of deeds under Bette Krueger and will continue to carry on exceptional customer service for the citizens of Marquette County. Thank you to my family, friends, and colleagues for the continued support and encouragement.”
