Gov. Evers Appoints Jeff Doughty as Pepin County Coroner |
MADISON — Gov. Tony Evers announced today his appointment of Jeff Doughty as the next Pepin County Coroner. The appointment fills a vacancy created by the resignation of John Albers, effective Jan. 18, 2023. “I am glad to appoint Jeff Doughty today to serve as the coroner for Pepin County,” said Gov. Evers. “Jeff has been working in the county for several years and will bring with him more than two decades of relevant experience to best serve the community.” Doughty has 23 years of experience as an emergency medical technician (EMT) and has been serving as the chief deputy coroner for Pepin County. He served as director of Maiden Rock–Plum City Area Ambulance Service, assistant director of Durand Ambulance Service, and vice president of Arkansaw Memorial Cemetery. In these roles, he has developed a close working relationship with the Pepin County Coroner’s Office and Sheriff’s Department. “I would like to thank the Office of the Governor and the staff, along with the officials of Pepin County, for their time during this appointment process,” said Doughty.
