New Webinar Will Help Small Businesses and Entrepreneurs Learn How to Write a Business Plan

Office of Business Development Webinar Series Continues on December 13

Madison, Wis. – Wisconsin Department of Administration (DOA) Secretary-designee Kathy Blumenfeld today announced a new webinar to help Wisconsin entrepreneurs develop a strong business plan. DOA will partner with the Wisconsin Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse to present the How to Write a Business Plan webinar at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 13. This hour-long program, coinciding with National Write a Business Plan Month, will feature SBDC experts detailing how to write a strong business plan while incorporating elements such as a business narrative, financial projections, marketing, operations, and more. The program will culminate in a roundtable question-and-answer session.

“A strong business plan is the blueprint for a successful business,” Secretary-designee Blumenfeld said. “This webinar affords an excellent opportunity for entrepreneurs to learn what information is needed for a solid business plan, how the plan is used, and how the business planning process applies to businesses of all stages and sizes.”

The webinar will be hosted by the DOA Office of Business Development and will be recorded and open to the public. Registration is free and highly recommended to participate in Q&A with presenters. Individuals who would like to attend can register here: https://us06web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZYodeqhpzksHtFlBdA50kHCCYdj_oi-2tZZ. Recordings also will be available on the DOA YouTube channel.

Next week’s webinar will be the latest in a series organized by the Office of Business Development to support Wisconsin small businesses and nonprofits. Past webinars have featured tips for successful grant writing, an overview of how to become certified as a diverse supplier with the State of Wisconsin, and a look at Wisconsin’s economic outlook.
