 WDVA Bulletin

TO:   County and Tribal Veterans Service Offices

SUBJECT:   Recently Separated Veterans Program Data on VBATS

The Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs is pleased to announce that all data for the Recently Separated Veterans Program (RSVP) is now accessible in the Veterans Benefits and Applications Tracking System (VBATS). In February 2025, the Department provided this information to all official CVSO/TVSO electronic mail accounts. The disseminated roster included a statewide list that was not subdivided or searchable by county. For March 2025 and beyond, your organizations may now access this information via VBATS.

The updated delivery mechanism for RSVP data:

  • is organized and searchable by county;
  • is organized and searchable by date range;
  • includes all RSVP transitioning Service Members since June 2024;
  • is easily exportable to an Excel file; and
  • is accessible by VBATS account holders.

A brief tutorial on how to access the reports is attached to this bulletin. If you encounter any technical issues accessing the information within VBATS, please contact WDVA Information Technology at: SysDevRequest@dva.wisconsin.gov. If you have any other questions regarding the data or the appropriate use of the data, please contact the Veterans Benefits Resource Center at MyWisVets@wisconsin.gov.

The Department will provide the March 2025 and future RSVP data through VBATS as the primary means of communication. Please contact Jeremy Lyon, Administrator for the Division of Veterans Benefits, at jeremy.lyon@dva.wisconsin.gov or at 608-982-1100 if you are unable to pull the roster from VBATS, and we will electronically mail the roster to your official CVSO/TVSO e-mail address. Thank you for your service to Wisconsin’s Veterans.
