Wisconsin Youth Leadership Forum Recruitment
Do you know a high school student with a disability who is a leader or a budding advocate? If yes, please refer them to the Wisconsin Youth Leadership Forum (YLF)!
- WHO: High school students with disabilities who have an IEP (up to age 21)
- WHERE: Edgewood College, Madison, WI
- WHEN: June 28 – July 3, 2026 (this is a week-long, overnight program)
- COST: FREE to invited participants
In just one week, students will gain leadership and self-advocacy skills, explore college and career options, develop a Personal Leadership Plan, boost their confidence, experience independent living in a safe space, connect with state legislators, mentors, and new friends, creating lasting memories, and have fun! New Resource for Supporting Pediatric Feeding Disorders in Wisconsin Schools
Wisconsin DPI is pleased to introduce a Resource for Supporting Pediatric Feeding Disorders in Schools. This resource provides information on Pediatric Feeding Disorder (PFD) and guidance on supporting students with feeding and swallowing needs in the school setting. The resource offers a step-by-step approach to help facilitate safe feeding and swallowing while promoting student participation. A webinar introducing the resource was held on January 28th. The video recording and slide deck are available on the Speech or Language Impairment Hot Topics webpage and via the link below.
