Timely Information
Get Ready for the December 9th Snapshot!
In preparation for the WISEdata Snapshot on December 9th, DPI recently emailed Data Quality Alerts to all Directors of Special Education Services. These Alerts include notifications of missing or invalid data in your October 1 Child Count or significant changes in your high school completion data, exit data, TFS, and Oct 1 counts. These Alert errors include:
SDD10: The number of students who are age 10 or older with a primary/reporting disability of significant development delay (SDD); these students are not counted in the Oct 1 Child Count
MissingEdEnv: The number of students with IEPs who do not have an educational environment code for the Oct 1 Child Count
AgeEnvConflict: The number of students whose age and/or grade as of Oct 1 is in conflict with their reported educational environment code.
Missing Demographic Data: The number of students who are missing disability codes in MissingDisability, or missing demographic codes in MissingGrade, MissingRace, MissingGender, or MissingELP data in the October 1 Child Count, TFS (Third Friday of September) Data, or High School Completion (Grad) Data.
Premature Special Education Exit: Please review the records of students whose sSEPA end dates occurred prior to their enrollment exit dates. Both the sSEPA end date and the Reason Exited Special Education code for these students should be reviewed for accuracy.
Indicator data for the SPP/APR (State Performance Plan/Annual Performance Report) will also be “snapped” on December 9th
This data includes Indicator 7 (Preschool Outcomes), Indicator 11 (Timely Initial Evaluations), Indicator 12 (Preschool Transitions), and Indicator 13 (Postsecondary Transition Planning) records in the SPED Portal or in WISEdata. District-level Indicator data is used for LEA Determinations.
