School Safety Consultant, Patrick Baldwin and Crisis Response and Recovery Specialist, Cheryl Johnson will provide a virtual presentation addressing best practices in scheduling, planning and implementing trauma sensitive drills in schools.
Participants will learn about school violence drill requirements in Wisconsin Statute § 118.07 and how to implement drills safely and effectively within their individual school environments, preparing their communities without causing fear.

Understanding Nihilistic Violent Extremism
Wednesday August 12 | 9:30 – 11:00 a.m.
This training will provide an overview of the threat posed by Nihilistic Violent Extremists (NVEs) as well as key indicators that can be used for identifying potential NVE victims and offenders. In addition, this training will provide tips on how to address swatting/hoax threats, which are increasingly being committed by actors using sophisticated techniques to obscure their identities.
