Good morning,
As part of DOJ’s continuing efforts to support local Sexual Assault Response Teams (SARTs), we will be offering the webinar “More Than a Kit: A Forensic Nurse’s Role in Caring for Victims of Gender-Based Violence” on February 9th from 1 – 2:30 pm and February 21st from 10 – 11:30 am.
DOJ’s Deanna Grundl, RN, BSN, SANE-A, and Susie Kanack, RN, BSN, SANE-A, SANE-P, will discuss the role of a Forensic Nurse/Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (FNE/SANE) and what a survivor can expect when seeing an FNE/SANE post assault. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the forensic nursing role, their part in the collaborative SART response, and how it can help victims heal after trauma.
Please share with your colleagues as all SART multidisciplinary partners are welcome and encouraged to attend!
Contact Keeley Crowley at crowleykj@doj.state.wi.us to register for one of the webinars.
