ACTIVE THREAT - HOUSE OF WORSHIP Special Evening Workshop Wednesday, February 22 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM.
Preparing houses of worship for violence is a very important topic amongst safety team members and first responders across the nation. This class is a preparatory class for instructors who wish to train the churches, synagogues, and gathering locations associated with houses of worship in their area. Basic information will include:
- A brief history of active violence in churches
- A case study review of primary incidents
- Training and certifications that facilitate instructing at houses of worship
- Program basics and how to implement your program
- Presentation format and material review
- A close look at dealing with concealed weapons
- Policy and procedures review related to houses of worship
- Building your safety team and documenting activity
- Security vs. Safety Team…knowing the difference
WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Instructors who train churches, synagogues and other houses of worship security team members and law enforcement.
