Domestic Violence Homicide Survivor Support Group
(Virtual)
Hello!
End Domestic Abuse Wisconsin is piloting a new initiative in a couple of weeks – a monthly, virtual support group for people who have lost someone close to them due to domestic violence homicide (defined broadly). Our goal is to connect those who have found traditional grief groups ill-equipped to meet their unique needs after losing a loved one violently, often at the hands of a family member. The group is intended for adults only and is not limited to familial relationships with a DV homicide victim (friends, co-workers, etc., of the victim are welcome).
Please see this flyer (https://bit.ly/dvhomsupport21) and share it with people who may want to attend or know someone who might. To register for the group, people would need to fill out this google form: https://forms.gle/rDbeWoDRre7AoNrb6. A group facilitator will contact them to have a short conversation about their readiness for a group and provide them with the zoom log in details.
Note: the flyer only has the two 2021 group dates/times included (11/11 and 12/9 from 7-8:30pm). The group facilitators plan to get input from attendees to determine if the day of week/time of day will remain the same in 2022, but the monthly groups will continue throughout next year.
Thanks for helping spread the word about this opportunity. Please let me know if you have any questions!
