Dear Law Enforcement Administrators:
A reminder to complete the annual Recertification Training Compliance process in ACADIS to be eligible for your agency’s annual distribution of training funds for fiscal year 2021. You are encouraged to complete this process as early as you can. Agencies are eligible to submit the request as soon as:
- All officers certified before July 1, 2020 have completed the required 24 hours of training. Due to COVID-19, the Law Enforcement Standards Board (LESB) approved completion of up to 24 hours of training online with the exclusion of the annual LESB Handgun Qualification and biennial LESB Vehicle Pursuit Training requirement.
- All law enforcement officers certified before July 1, 2020 have completed the annual LESB Handgun Qualification FY21.
- All law enforcement officers certified before July 1, 2020 have completed the LESB Biennial Vehicle Pursuit Training FY20-21.
Key Dates for Officer Recertification:
June 30, 2021 - Complete Annual Training
All officers certified before July 1, 2020 must complete 24 hours of training (including the LESB Handgun Qualification and LESB Biennial Vehicle Pursuit Training for law enforcement officers). Only officers who have been on an authorized leave of absence that has been reported in Acadis will be eligible for an extension into the next state fiscal year to complete recertification training. All other officers must have training completed by June 30, 2021.
July 31, 2021 – Deadline to Enter Training Into ACADIS
All training must be entered into ACADIS by July 31, 2021 for the July 1, 2020 – June 30, 2021 training period.
July 31, 2021 - Final Deadline to Request Reimbursement
All agencies must complete the Recertification Training Compliance process in ACADIS: https://lesbportal.doj.state.wi.us/AcadisViewer/login.aspx, under the Organization tab.
